| The series of works was produced through an appropriation of Artist and Engineer Paul Jackson’s Paper Folding techniques. Jackson’s work existed as sculpture to be positioned in space, receiving light through curation and shadow through the incidental passage of the works viewer; Furthermore he was limited to display either with original patina or with oil pastel directly applied to add colour and texture to the works.

My series instead aimed to explore precise curation of shadow, position and colour, to take complex three dimensional objects and provoke an orchestrated response from an originally sterile artifact. To project onto the viewer a reading and to mask the original extents and scale of the forms into objects either terrestrial or organic.
