“…we put forward our proposed structure plan for #RozelleBay in response to the Draft #BaysWest Place Strategy. We call on the #NSWgovernment to commit now to improving the water quality, by removing powered vessels from the western half of Rozelle Bay, and planning now for the integration of mangrove, saltmarsh and oyster communities and opportunities for tidal flushing into the structure plan.

We also propose two new major pedestrian and cycling axes, an east-west foreshore axis from the #GlebeIslandBridge to the #RozelleParklands via a second landbridge over City West Link, and a grand north-south avenue from the #SydneyMetro station at #WhiteBay, under the Anzac Bridge on-ramp and over a new pedestrian and cycling bridge to Glebe Point Road.

Where else on Sydney Harbour can we build a great public street that directly connects three foreshores? This is one of the great opportunities of the Bays West precinct, alongside revitalising the #WhiteBayPowerStation and Glebe Island Bridge.

Contact us if you'd like a run-through of all our 16 recommendations for #ConnectingRozelleBay.”
